Reviewing Official
The Reviewing Official is a site-based position that reports directly to the Security Programs Supervisor.
The focus of this role is to administer the Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty, and Safeguards programs.
Review all Access Authorization inputs and determine if the individual meets the requirements to be granted access to the site. Administer drug and alcohol testing. Review backgrounds and determine if the individual should be granted access to Safeguards information. This position will also support the Security Programs Supervisor in developing and implementing the access authorization and fitness for duty programs for construction phase and operating phase.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for implementing the Access Authorization, Fitness for Duty, and Safeguards program in accordance with site procedures and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations.
• Responsible for the review of all elements required for individuals applying for unescorted access/access or to safeguards, such as Personal History Questionnaires, completed background investigations, psychological evaluations, fingerprint reports including criminal history records on file with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and drug and alcohol test results.
• Interface with law enforcement agencies, judicial systems, and office of public record to provide official documentation. Conduct investigations if necessary for any discrepancies to complete trustworthiness and reliability determinations.
• Conduct interviews with applicants and make decisions to deny access or proceed with the request for Unescorted Access and/or access to Safeguards.
• Provide training assistance to other Reviewing Officials
• Support inspections, audits, and self-assessments of the programs
• Maintains and stores FFD, AA, and SGI records in accordance with site procedures and the regulatory requirements
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with site procedures and the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 26 (10CFR26)
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance, high morale, and a focus on industrial safety.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, partners, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
Key Qualifications and Skills
• High School Diploma
• Able to maintain composure during stressful situations
• Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards.
• Candidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to perform assigned duties and manage deadlines with minimal direction
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional
• Effectively manage multiple time sensitive priorities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver information across all levels of the organization, some of which may be technical or sensitive in nature and capable of maintaining confidentiality of the sensitive information
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, display respect, foster teamwork, continuous learning and embracing innovative ideas and process improvement

TerraPower's technology is controlled for export by various agencies of the U.S. Government. TerraPower must evaluate applicants who are foreign nationals (other than asylees, refugees, or lawful permanent residents) in accordance with U.S. Government export control requirements. Salary Range Level 9: $ 86,355 - $129,533
*We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience. This range is specific to Wyoming.
