Manager, Regional Supplier Quality (QA)
The Manager, Regional Supplier Quality reports to the Senior Supplier Quality Manager (QA & CI). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with or managing suppliers in manufacturing/fabrication environments, with a thorough understanding of surveillance, supplier quality, process qualifications, welding, inspections, QC data package reviews, etc. Candidate will have QA experience in NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated environment. Candidate will have a working knowledge of NQA-1 requirements and a strong background in auditing, with current Lead Auditor certification preferred or with the ability to become a Lead Auditor. Experience with industry codes, standards and guides such as ASME, ASNT, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC and IEEE are strongly desired.
Responsibilities:
• Performing on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.
• Managing the day-to-day activities of the Supplier Quality staff including hiring, training, performance evaluation, etc.
• Prepares and issues Supplier Quality surveillance assignments for execution by the assigned Supplier Quality Specialists and reviews/approves resulting reports.
• Facilitates communication between on and off project personnel across disciplines; directs assigned Supplier Quality Specialists
• Participates in resolution of technical and quality issues arising from area/shop Supplier Quality activities including monitoring of dispositions and corrections made to assure documented evidence of satisfactory closeout.
• Plan and perform Supplier and Internal Audits as a Lead Auditor.
• Perform general assessment and critique of nuclear quality programs and assessments
• Work with Supply Chain management to resolve technical and quality deficiencies with Suppliers quality oversight of critical procurements to meet project milestones and schedules
• Ensuring personal, industrial, and nuclear safety is a core aspect of daily work.
• Fostering Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools both internally at TerraPower and with suppliers.
• Attends specific shop visits such as initial visits, in-process surveillances performing Supplier Quality Specialist witness and hold points, or inspection activities at the shop.
• Plan and perform commercial grade surveys of commercial suppliers
Key Qualifications and Skill:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field.
• 10+ years' experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Quality function.
• 10+ years' experience managing QA/QC personnel
• Current certification as NQA-1 Lead Auditor

Job details:
Salary Range 12: $168,316 - $252,475*
* This range is specific to Washington State. We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience.
